Come work that neglected middle part of your body in Ariele’s $10 (drop-in rate) Core Flow Yoga from 5:15-6p:15m Fridays at Yoga Source all fall (starting after Labor Day).
All other Core Flow classes on the schedule at Yoga Source are also $10 – each one is taught by fabulous, seasoned instructors. No excuses!
happy earth day this week this month this lifetime, earthlings.
Read a beautiful story about my beautiful, yoga-teaching grandma, Lilo Foster! (Best viewed in Firefox browser). She was interviewed by the Northern Virginia Daily and the story hit the press this week. There are also videos of her teaching and talking.
Her class schedule, as always, is here.
In other news my friend Sam, who is a phenomenal guitarist (and redhead – bonus!), is promoting his cd “Chasing Miracles” so that he can participate in Project Walk, an intensive recovery system that has made the impossible possible: getting people with spinal cord injuries walking again. $5 buys you the cd on iTunes. Or buy the cd as a holiday gift for $8. 10% of proceeds from the sales goes to the Wounded Warrior Project. That’s three gifts in one! ~ariele

I procrastinate from my studies (working toward my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree) guilt-free when I pour over The Key Muscles of Hatha Yoga. Other anatomy and yoga books, DVDs, etc. have left me wanting more (usually more clear instruction), but this book rocks my world and puts my brain cells to work linking postures and movement and energies. Love it. If you have an interest in anatomy and yoga I highly recommend buying this book as you’ll want it for reference for years to come.
